Recycling at Malmö City Hall
Soeco by Yllw has had the trust of Malmö City Hall on several occasions to furnish various rooms. Most recently, we renovated several areas of the event unit.
CO2e savings: 30 tons

In this conference room, we provided a fully renovated Alvar Aalto table from Malmö City Library, with a new linoleum surface. The chairs, 1970s models from Lammhults, were powder-coated, reupholstered, and had their plastic handles replaced with Tärnsjö leather. Above hangs the Bumling lamp, from a client in Stockholm.

At the entrance to the event unit, visitors are greeted by three lounge areas. The Mitab sofas, previously from Sony, are combined with small tables from Hotell Gässlingen, updated with new surfaces. The lamps are painted in matching colors. In the middle section, we created a "Villa Villerkulla" effect, where colors and shapes give a playful and inspiring atmosphere.

We have also worked with a Gunilla Allard set, reupholstered in Kirkby Design Crush, as well as a table in Linoleum Burgundy. Sofas and armchairs from three different clients were adapted to fit into the overall design.

In "Kungsparken," we used recycled plywood and linoleum boards on Ikea tables, which our skilled blacksmiths have welded and powder-coated. Other surfaces such as lounge areas, meeting rooms, and kitchens have also been furnished to create a cohesive environment.

The office building has received a large, floor-mounted boardroom table in Koriand from a packaging manufacturer, which we combined with conference chairs from Kinnarps. All furniture, carts, lamps, and details have been delivered as a whole to create a functional and inviting work environment.
